Agorin creates a Digital Product Passport for every animal or batch of produce: a tamper-proof, cryptographically verified record that travels with the product from farm to consumer.
01 How it works
Data sovereignty
No single company controls the data. Farmers retain ownership of their own records and decide what they share and with whom. The platform is hosted on a distributed node architecture with no central point of control or failure.
Connects existing systems
Agorin is designed to connect to farm management systems and co-operative reporting tools that farmers already use. Data already being captured does not need to be entered twice.
Automated ESG outputs
Scope 3 emissions data, sustainability credentials and regulatory compliance evidence are generated automatically from the same underlying records, without separate reporting processes.
Rewards for farmers
Verified sustainability activity, such as carbon sequestration, generates digital tokens with real economic value. Farmers receive a share automatically. The goal is to make doing the right thing financially worthwhile, not just administratively easier.

03 The token layer
Rewarding verified sustainability
Alongside the provenance record, Agorin includes a token mechanism that creates a financial incentive for participation. Verified sustainability activity, such as carbon sequestration, generates digital tokens that have real economic value.
Farmers receive a share of those tokens. This is designed to reward farmers who are already doing the right thing and make recording it financially worthwhile.
A utility mechanism, not a currency
The token design is a utility mechanism tied to verified data. Tokens are earned through provable activity and redeemed against platform participation costs and supply chain incentives. The mechanism is designed by our consortium partner The Scotcoin Project CIC, which brings deep experience in digital token economies.
The token layer is being developed in parallel with the core platform and will be validated during the Year 1 pilot.
